Drama helps children grow into healthy young adults

I took this course because I was regularly running workshops and wanted to move into the area of education. Initially I found some of the language difficult to work with but the content was very specific and the outcomes were applicable to practical circumstances. I especially enjoyed the final unit on movement as I was able to try the suggestions out with my own children including my son who is autistic with terrific results! The additional or recommended reading for the course has also helped me to develop my ideas. During the course I managed to get a job working in education Arts and I found that the intensive 3 day training we did for the job matched very well with what I had already learned on the Drama In Education certificate. My only critisism would be that some of the questions in the assignments don't fully match up to the course content… but this just means you have to use your own imagination a little more. – L.K.L
