NCFE Certificate
Teaching Assistant Diploma
What is NCFE?
NCFE is the UK's longest established awarding body, recognised as highly professional and responsive organisation, committed to maintaining excellent customer service.
NCFE is recognised as an awarding body. Accreditation by NCFE is a guarantee of quality.
Qualifications that really mean something
After each lesson there will be a question paper, which needs to be completed and submitted to your personal tutor for marking. This “step by step” method of continual assessment ensures that your personal tutor can consistently monitor your progress and provide you with assistance throughout the duration of the course. After the final assessment is successfully completed you will be awarded 2 qualifications.
Qualification 1: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Award
At the end of this course successful learners will also receive a Level 3 NCFE Award Certificate of Achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (in which case GCSE's are at levels 1 and 2 and A Levels are at level 3).
Qualification 2: Teaching Assistant Diploma
Teaching Assistant Diploma entitles you to use the letters SAC Dip after your name.
Both these proven qualifications are recognized and trusted by employers as “Bon Fide” attestations of your knowledge and application of the subject. They are just as authentic and acceptable as those of the equivalent level obtained at college or vocationally at your place of work.
NVQ Level 3 Equivalent
The above accreditation means that the level of learning is officially equivalent to that of an NVQ Level 3.
It is difficult to compare them exactly because they are assessed differently.
NVQ's are assessed in the workplace and mostly do not include any actual training, purely assessment of work being carried out.
The advantage of this course is that it offers a comprehensive learning program supported by a personal tutor. This combined with the regular summary assessments ensures that you will be better prepared for your vocation.
