Do I need any prior qualifications to enrol on a Teacher Assistant course?

Not at all because…
  your course has been designed in a well proven modular fashion to lay a foundation no matter what ever your educational background and then build “knowledge brick” by “knowledge brick”. This provides all the information you require in a manner that makes it easy to understand, simple to remember and enjoyable to learn.

Can I jump straight into level 3 or do I need to do level 2 first?

There is no need to do any prior studying let alone level 2 Teaching Assistant courses. As explained in question 1 above the modular approach to your training means that you can start straight into level 3. In actual fact that is the standard that schools require so you need to get that award as quickly as possible and that means starting at level 3.

What time will it take to complete a Teacher Assistant course and qualify?

  the total learning time for your course is 162 hours so if you could manage 8 hours a day for 5 days a week it could be completed in just 5 weeks allowing for assessments. But there is no time limit so if you had limited time available say just 6 hours each week then it would take about 6 months. The advantage with your home study course is that you can fit it round your other commitments.

Can my employers pay for this Teachers Assistant Course?

So don't miss the chance of that job if you are only part way through the course. Get an interview and take your course, personal notes and assessments with you. What is also very useful is to do voluntary work in schools whilst studying. This gives you experience and adds to the weight of your CV when you apply for a paid post.

What happens if I fail one of the assessments?

No need to worry…
  your personal tutor will help you with the parts you may not have understood completely and you simply keep retaking the assessment until you have grasped the material enough to pass. It just is not an issue. Do not worry about this at all.
